Ballet Barre (Without a Barre) For Everyone

Experience a reimagined approach to the classical form, one that supports your individual anatomy and selfhood.This open level workshop welcomes all - from the trained dancer revisiting ballet technique basics, to a new mover interested in adding ballet to their physical vocabulary. We will place particular emphasis on awareness of the axis of the body, with a mindful effort to maintain our three dimensionality within our home environment. All students will have a private 15 min. session with Martha, scheduled separate from class time focusing on individual questions and needs. No barre or ballet shoes necessary.

Home Practice: Mindful Movement to Rebalance and Reset

With Victoria Roberts-Wierzbowski

Foster a connection with yourself within your home space. This workshop will help you carve out the time to pause, reset and nourish through feel-good movement practices, accessible to all levels. Drawing on fundamentals from modern dance, ballet, yoga, breathwork, and beyond, we will strengthen, condition and enliven our bodies, hone our awareness of alignment, and balance it all out with a good dose of techniques to unwind and deeply relax. Everyone is welcome, regardless of movement background or ability - modifications and tailored suggestions will be provided.
